Day 4

English:

Wednesday, April 22nd 2015

Dear readers,

From the making of Harry Potter’s studio tour to the Science Museum followed by a stroll in Oxford’s street, today was not only magical but also eye opening.

At 7:45 am, the usual happened: we started our day waiting for some latecomers. Once they arrived, we all hopped on the coach heading towards the dreamlike studio tour. Surprisingly, Harry Potter was built in two studios connected by a bridge: J and K, referring to the well-known author J.K Rowling. We had the privilege to be part of a lifetime experience and get a glimpse of the hard work behind the scenes at the Warner Bros Harry Potter studio. It consists of stepping into a world of wizards, wands and magic. In fact, the success of this film is due to the production and the high level of craftsmanship as well as the crew. The ambiance of mystery and fascination starts with the sound and image effects along with the locations that dragged us into a universe of fiction and imagination. We also got the chance to practice wand tricks, broom rides and other activities that allowed us to live the actors’ experience.

After three hours of enchantment, we had lunch in a South African restaurant: Nando’s; we then headed to the Science Museum. Despite our short visit, which lasted only around 30 minutes, we got the opportunity to satisfy our scientific curiosity.

This remarkable journey ended with what we’ve all been waiting for: Wandering in the prominent Oxford Street. This time, we got three hours to the point where we shopped until we dropped!
